"Yizkor," a trio for violin, cello and piano by Brian Wilson, has been selected for performance at the College Music Society's 2023 International Conference taking place in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. "Yizkor," after the Jewish service of remembrance held on Yom Kippur, is a memorial to Wilson's father whose ancestors came from the region of Latvia.
The conference runs from July 2–10 and will include papers, concerts, lecture-recitals, panels, demonstrations, and workshop sessions. A feature of the CMS International Conference is the addition of sightseeing excursions, meals, and other activities designed to foster a basic understanding of the host country.
